Bangladesh Bank Unveils New Series of Currency Notes Highlighting National Heritage On Sunday, Bangladesh Bank introduced newly designed banknotes in denominations of Tk 500, Tk 200, Tk 100, and Tk 10—each bearing the signature of Governor Dr. Ahsan H. Mansur—alongside updated Tk 5 and Tk 2 notes. The redesigned notes are part of a new series titled “Historic and Archaeological Architecture of Bangladesh” , which will eventually cover all denominations: Tk 1,000, Tk 500, Tk 200, Tk 100, Tk 50, Tk 20, Tk 10, Tk 5, and Tk 2. As part of the rollout, the Tk 1,000, Tk 50, and Tk 20 notes also entered circulation on Sunday for the first time under this theme. The central bank has announced that details about each note's release date and security features will be communicated through official press releases.
